State Elders Ministry

The purpose of the State Elders Ministry is to provide an additional level of spiritual care and leadership to Pennsylvania Pastors and ministers. Many in ministry have described the lack of Spiritual fathers and mothers available to them and the results are various struggles that perhaps could be avoided. Many lacked a father or mother figure in their life growing up and the emotional and spiritual deficiencies remain. 

I Corinthians 4:15: “You may have ten thousand mentors in Christ, but you don’t have many fathers.”

The goal of the State Elders Ministry is to provide another layer of ministry to our leaders that will help insure spiritual, emotional and relational health. They will complement the ministry of the District Overseers and State Administrative Bishop. The Elders will be able to provide personal leadership and care that, due to General Assembly Minutes guidelines, current leaders cannot. Those who may benefit from the Elders ministry may be younger or less experienced, but all Pastors/Ministers will have access to the ministry as needed.
